Yes. Before each swap, the borrower's card is pre-authorised for the item's replacement value. You only exchange with verified students from your institution or city.
Stud & Swap runs on tokens. You earn them by lending your gear. If you have nothing to lend, you can buy tokens in the app for a fraction of buying new equipment.
We recommend public "swap spots" on campus — library entrance, cafeteria, student union — convenient and reassuring for everyone.
